Ludicrous Lounge is a game of wits.  The object like all other games is to get to the end.  In order to accomplish this you'll need to answer riddles.  Each answer you find gives you the key to the next page.  There are some examples below.  The following is a step-by-step tutorial. LESSON ONE: HIDDEN LINKS

Probably the easiest of all the concepts is the HIDDEN LINK.

Basically, it is a typical clickable link like you'd find on any other web site, except it is the same color as the background, thus making it invisible.

There are four ways to find a HIDDEN LINK:


•The HIGHLIGHT technique
•The SCAN technique
•Setting PREFERENCES
•VIEW SOURCE


The HIGHLIGHT technique:

Click and hold the mouse button at the top-left corner of the page, and drag till you reach the bottom-right corner. This will "highlight" all the text on the page and unless you have your computer preferences set all crazy, it should put a bright colored highlight on all the text of the page. Any HIDDEN LINKS on the page will then be uncovered. If you are using a MAC, simply press APPLE+A to highlight the entire page.

The SCAN technique:

Start at the top-left corner of the page, and slowly glide your mouse over the entire page. When your mouse pointer turns into a "pointing hand" you have discovered a link. This might take awhile. I suggest the HIGHLIGHT technique.

Setting PREFERENCES:

Most browsers allow you to adjust the colors of links by using your preference file. Go into the menubar, find "options" or "preferences" and change the default link color to something bright (like white). This will turn all the links on a page white. Any links that were hidden because of the black background will now be visible. I doubt you will ever have to go this far to find a HIDDEN LINK. Usually they are fairly easy to find with the HIGHLIGHT technique.

VIEW SOURCE:

This is a very important technique. As you progress to higher levels, this technique will be more and more useful. In your menubar, find where it says VIEW or VIEW DOCUMENT SOURCE. Using this option will cause the pure HTML source code of a page to download to your hard disk. You can view the source and search for the link. All the HTML code might be confusing for newbies, or people who aren't making their own websites, but you gotta learn. This is the Internet. Not knowing HTML is like living in Spain and not knowing Spanish. HTML is the language of cyberspace. Some knowledge of HTML will truly help you in later levels, although it's not necessary. But, by the time you get into further levels, you'll be surprised at how much you have learned. See, it's not just a game. It's a learning experience!
